Once upon a time, there was a world called Tuti. It was very much like the current world you are in now, except that it wasn't called Earth. It had continents, and it had people. These inhabitants of Tuti were called Tutiers.

Our story begins with one Tutier in particular...

Yiernoshi Lai was in a rush. A big, big rush. Why?

She was late for school.

It wasn't the prospect of missing lessons that scared her. It was something else.

In fact, someone else.

She sprinted past the school gate, when she heard a cold voice behind her.

"You are one second late."

Oh no. Turning slowly around, she confirmed her worst fears.

Claire was standing behind her.

She panicked. What on Tuti (or below it) had she done to receive such a fate? To be late for school on the day Claire patrolled the school gate. Claire, leader of the discipline committee, and a prefect.

Why?

Claire stuck a hand into her pocket, and slowly pulled out a pen and a blue card.

"I'll book you to death."

Yiernoshi ran home when the school bell rang.

When her mother came up to check on her, she looked really happy, and was waving a flyer.

"Guess what, Yiern! I've found you a home tutor!"

Yiern blinked.

"A...home tutor?"

"Yes."

A new voice sounded behind Yiern. She pivoted on her heel, and found herself staring at a baby. The baby was wearing a leather jacket, a fedora hat, and a skinny tie. A chipmunk was perched on her shoulder.

"So you are Yiernoshi. Greetings, my name is Sam."

Yiernoshi's mother smiled happily.

"I'll leave you two alone then!"

In Yiernoshi's room, Sam looked at Yiernoshi.

"To tell you the truth, I'm not really here to improve your grades."

"I knew it! There's no way a baby like you would be able to teach me anything!"

Here Sam kicked Yiernoshi hard. In the stomach.

"My true line of work is assassination. I was assigned here by a great man to train you to become an astounding mafia boss."

Yiernoshi blinked.

"Ma...Mafia boss?!"
